Choosing the Heading

In order to create my magazine I first of all needed to come up with the Main Heading. From looking at current music magazines I realised that the title must be simple yet remain effective and eye-catching. This made the task quite difficult.
I decided to create a list of possible names and ask my colluges which name they prefer. This table show the results:

The results give four popular outcomes, these are:

- Lyric
- Underground
- Crescendo
- Base

All of these relate to music in various ways. In order to retrain my final selection for the heading I created another list and asked a selection of people from my class to select their favourite title.
Underground was the most popular choice. The word 'Underground' relates perfectly to contemporary, urban and alternative music. Underground music falls under the Indie/Rock music genre, which is appropriate for my music magazine.
