Mood Board

Once I produced the heading of the magazine, I needed to crack on with constructing the Front cover image. I decided to gather the photos of various music artists that have inspired me and influenced my thoughts on how the main image should look…

This Mood Board is a collection of photographs that have inspired the production of my front page photo. The photos are of popular singers and a well-known unique model. The aspects I like most from these photos is the direstion of the gaze. In almost every photo, the model is looking directly into the camera, this produces a personal connection with the photo and the viewer and also draws attention to the image. Also, I perfer the use of a black background in comparision to the white. I feel that the black colour makes the image more powerful and intriging. In every photo the facial look is a glaring expression that is quite plain (the model is not posing as such)yet has a serious look. I like this as it has an intersting appearance that fits into the Indie Rock genre.
